Fees and Structure

Sessions are available online and in person, except for insurance, which is online only.

Currently accepting the following insurance: Aetna - waitlist

Sliding scale is currently available for those in need for out-of-pocket sessions.

I offer out-of-network insurance reimbursement, there is more explanation on the process below.

Individual psychotherapy

Fee: $250 per 50 minute session

Couples and Family psychotherapy

Fee: $375 per 80 minute session ‍​

Out of network reimbursement process

I am currently a private pay, out-of-network provider. While I don't accept insurance directly, your insurance plan may have out-of-network benefits, which means they will reimburse you for a portion of our session cost. I have partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you. With Thrizer, you pay a co-pay for sessions once you meet your deductible instead of paying the full fee and waiting for reimbursement. This typically allows patients to save on average 70% on our sessions. During intake, I can help you verify if you have out-of-network benefits and how much your co-pay would be. Thrizer charges an extra $10 per session for this service.

Assessments

Fee: $1,000 per 50 minute session, with four sessions minimum, depending on the assessment and the complexity of the case

Paperwork - $1,000 minimum, depending on length and complexity. Initial estimates to be given after first session.

Consultation

Ketamine therapy

Outline of potential treatment flow for ketamine therapy, including fees:

For the first stage, you will schedule an initial evaluation. After that meeting, if ketamine is assessed to be a good treatment for you, then you will begin the following treatment schedule. However, every treatment is completely unique and tailored to your needs. This is a generalized treatment model that hopefully will help you have a sense of what the treatment might look like and the fees.

  • If you have questions before beginning the process, call or send an email and we can do an initial check-in.

  • First meetings: Psychological and Psychiatric Assessments 100 minutes ($650)

  • Ketamine session (s) ($950 for each lozenge session, $1250 for each intramuscular session. Which one you’ll end up doing will depend on your particular needs.)

  • Integration 50 minutes ($250)

  • Travel more than 30 minutes from San Rafael office to location/home ($250)
